An improper diagnosis can include a missed diagnosis, an improperly delayed diagnosis or a diagnosis that is simply wrong. Improper or delayed diagnosis can lead to the wrong treatment and an unacceptable delay in obtaining the proper treatment. In many improper diagnosis cases, the patient’s prognosis would have been much better had the proper diagnosis been timely made. Any of these issues can give rise to a medical malpractice claim if the doctor or hospital failed to meet the standard of medical care in the community and such failure caused devastating injury and/or death. We represent victims of improper diagnosis when we, in consultation with highly-regarded medical experts, believe that malpractice has been committed resulting in significant damages.
